Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for purchasing books and products from Peter Lyndon-James (“we”, “us”, “our”). We strive to provide high-quality publications and content that meet your expectations. This Return & Refund Policy explains your rights when purchasing from this site, how to request a return, and how refunds are processed.

1. What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to all books and physical/digital products purchased directly from our website. For products purchased through third-party retailers or marketplaces (e.g., Booktopia, Amazon), the return and refund policies of those platforms apply.

2. Consumer Rights

Your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws (including Australian Consumer Law) are not limited by this policy. If a product you receive is faulty, damaged, not as described, or does not match its online description, you may be entitled to a remedy, including a refund, repair, or replacement, regardless of the timeframes below. These statutory rights cannot be overridden by this policy. 

3. Change-of-Mind Returns (Physical Books Only)

We accept returns and issue refunds for physical books if ALL of the following are met:

  • You request a return within 30 days from the date you received the item.

  • The book is in unused, resalable condition, with all original packaging intact.

  • You provide proof of purchase (order number/receipt).

Please note: Shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise agreed.

4. Digital Products & eBooks

All digital products (eBooks, downloads, or online access material) are generally non-returnable and non-refundable once delivered, unless the product is faulty or not as described.

5. Faulty or Damaged Goods

If your physical book arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, please contact us within 14 days of receipt at:

Include your order number, details of the issue, and a photo if applicable. We will assess the situation and offer one of the following, at our discretion:

  • A full refund,

  • A replacement copy,

  • Store credit toward a future purchase.

6. How to Return an Item

To initiate a return, please contact us at:

Subject: “Return Request – Order #[Your Order Number]”

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Product title(s)

  • Reason for the return

  • Photos if the item is damaged

We’ll then provide instructions on how and where to send returned items.

7. Refund Process & Timing

Refunds for approved returns will be issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after we receive the returned item and confirm its condition.

8. Exchanges

Exchanges are available only for defective items. If you wish to exchange a damaged or incorrect item for the same title, please indicate this in your return request.

9. Items Not Eligible for Return

Returns and refunds are not available for:

  • Digital downloads once delivered,

  • Books that are clearly used, marked, damaged by the customer, or missing original packaging,

  • Items purchased through third-party sellers.
